Non Executive Directors reappointed

NHS Hull is pleased to announce the reappointments of Paul Jackson and Karen Marshall as Non Executive Directors of the Board.

NHS Hull is the city's Primary Care Trust, and is responsible for commissioning health services, such as hospital, mental health and community care, which meet the needs of Hull's 250,000 residents.

Paul has been a Non Executive Director with NHS Hull since June 2007. He currently works as a partnership development manager for Kier Building Maintenance, following 35 years at Hull City Council.

His second term as a Non Executive Director will run for four years, from 1st June 2010 through to 31st May 2014. He will receive a remuneration of 7,882 per annum.

Karen has been a Non Executive Director with NHS Hull since June 2007. She currently works as an independent clinical skills trainer. She has previously spent more than 20 years in a variety of nursing roles including Practice Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.

Her second term as a Non Executive Director will run for four years, from 1st June 2010 through to 31st May 2014. She will receive a remuneration of 7,882 per annum.

The reappointments have been made in accordance with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments (OCPA) Code of Practice.

All Non Executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees' political activity (if any declared) to be made public.

Neither Paul nor Karen has declared any political activity nor holds any other ministerial appointments.
